An elegant multi-banded bangle/bracelet from Brazil. This style is available in any of three different colours/metals - copper, shiny nickel silver or a darker antique-silver effect (look for the separate product entry for each one). There is a picture amongst the additional selection which shows the three colours side by side, so you can see the difference (click on the "Click to zoom" link under the picture above).

The bracelet is rigid, with 8 metal bands of two different designs and all held loosely by the two end posts. These create the effect of multiple rings around your wrist, with a lovely jaggling sound. The opening between the posts measures approximately 25mm and 'gives' a little, so it will accept most female wrists.

Nickel silver (also known as alpacca) is a metal alloy of copper with nickel and sometimes zinc. It has a convincing silvery appearance but, so as to avoid confusion, please note that this bangle is not silver or silver plated.

Some people suffering from ailments such as arthritis and fibromyalgia have said that the wearing of copper bracelets seems to help. We make no specific claims for our own copper jewellery, as we feel this will vary from person to person.

Please be aware that various kinds of metals can, in some people, cause a form of contact dermatitis. This can result in a skin irritation and rash. Copper, if it reacts with the skin's acid content, may in time cause a green discolouring of the skin. This is not unusual but is difficult to avoid if the person is susceptible to it. You should be aware of this as we cannot refund items where this occurs.
